Review finds nurse-patient ratio law has little impact

A review of California's nurse-to-patient ratio law shows it has not translated to reductions in two patient-care areas -- patient falls and bed sores. Researchers said additional study is needed to look at nursing unit data, organizational differences and work force issues.
