Specs: The Washington Nurse (ISSN # 0734-5666) is the official publication of the Washington State Nurses Association, 575 Andover Park West, Suite 101, Seattle, WA 98188. It is an 8.5" x 11" newsmagazine that is printed on a web press.
Rates: apply to camera ready ads. We can typeset/layout your ad for a $10 production charge for 1/8 page to 1/3 page, and a $20 production charge for 1/2 page to a full page. No extra charge for classified typesetting.
Dimensions: listed are for four column pages. Ads typeset by us may be altered slightly to conform to other column formats. Total ad area will remain the same or increase, but never decrease.
Screens: 75 lines per inch.
Photos: There will be a $20 half-tone charge for each photo. Please send prints (not negatives or slides), or send your own half-tones.
Billing: Advanced payment preferred. Approved advertisers will be billed following publication. A tear sheet and one copy of The Washington Nurse in which your ad appears will be included with your invoice.
Circulation: The Washington Nurse is received by 7,600 RNs and advanced registered nurse practitioners in Washington state, as well as nursing libraries and affiliate state nurses associations around the country.
Payment: All fees are in U.S. dollars.
Discount: Payment in advance saves us bookkeeping time and saves you five percent off listed rates. Discounts do not apply to typesetting (production) fees. WSNA members are entitled to an additional five percent discount.
Agencies: Bona fide advertising agencies are eligible for a five percent discount.
Subscriptions: All WSNA members receive a subscription to The Washington Nurse. Libraries and potential advertisers may subscribe to The Washington Nurse for $20 (U.S.), $26 (Canada/Mexico), or $39 (foreign) per year, paid in advance. Make checks payable to WSNA.
Continuing Education: All WSNA CEARP approved courses receive a free listing in each issue's Continuing Education calendar, and may place additional ads at a five percent discount. Department deadlines are listed on the back of the flier. Call the WSNA CEARP department for information about approving your course.
Classified Advertising
Rates: $.99 per word with a 12 word minimum. Three-time insertion rate is $.87 per word (may be used with every other issue placement).
Graphics: Place a box around your classified ad for only $8 more per issue. Insert your logo for another $8 per issue (may take up to three lines).

Article ideas and unsolicited manuscripts are welcome from WSNA members (300 word maximum). Please submit a typed copy and diskette (Word Perfect 6.0/Windows 95 compatible). Include identified relevant photos, a biographical statement, your name, address and credentials. It is not the policy of WSNA to pay for articles or artwork.
