The 2018 ANCC National Magnet Conference® in Denver, CO, is shaping up as the biggest and best ever.

Launched in Atlanta in 1998, the Magnet Conference was originally a regional event planned by Magnet hospitals such as MD Anderson and St. Luke’s to celebrate the achievements of its nurses and find new ways to improve patient care. The 2018 event in Denver will mark the 16th year ANCC has hosted the Magnet Conference, and we can’t wait to show you what we have in store.

Conference Learning Outcomes / Goals

  • Translate exemplar strategies into solutions for nursing challenges to promote excellence in nursing and optimal outcomes for patients
  • Leverage the Magnet® nursing culture to optimize organizational performance related to quality, safety, patient-centered care, and efficiency
  • Distinguish the long-term impact of transformational leadership and the Magnet® culture on organizations and patients
  • Synthesize science-based innovations and research to advance nursing practice, enhance patient safety, and promote optimal health and wellness
  • Employ tools and strategies that promote professional nursing practice

Continuing Education (CE) Contact Hours

Attendees who meet continuing education eligibility requirements may earn a maximum of 27.75 contact hours.

Research Symposium attendees may earn a maximum of 6.0 CE contact hours. This event is scheduled for Tuesday, October 23, 2018 and separate registration is required.

Attendees can earn additional contact hours at other pre-conference events.

Important

To receive CE contact hours, attendees must:

  • Be registered as a participant.
  • Be seated in the room no later than 10 minutes after the session has started, and remain in the session until the scheduled ending time.
  • Access the online 2018 ANCC National Magnet Conference CE system at http://bit.ly/claimcemagcon18 no later than November 26, 2018, to enter sessions and obtain CE certificates free of charge. Use your last name and badge/registration number to log in to the system.
  • For technical assistance with the CE survey or certificate, call 1.401.334.0220 between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., email ana@confex.com, or complete an online form at https://ana.confex.com/ana/feedback.epl?jsclose=1
  • Select the sessions attended (see conference program for session numbers).
  • Complete required evaluation(s).
  • Print and/or save certificate(s). (Note: Fees apply once the above deadline has passed.)
