Early next year, WSNA will add a new class of nurse leaders to the Washington State Nurses Hall of Fame — our highest honor.
Since 1996, the Hall of Fame has recognized the dedication and achievement of Washington RNs who have changed the practice, research, educational opportunities and governing policies of nursing in our state. We would not be where we are as a profession without these inspiring pioneers, innovators, mentors and friends.
Is there someone who has changed your professional life and the lives of others? Now is your opportunity to nominate a person you admire for inclusion in the 2022 Hall of Fame!
Criteria: Each nominee must have demonstrated excellence in the areas of patient care, leadership, education, public service, nurse advocacy, heroism, patient advocacy, or clinical practice and for achievements that have affected the health and/or social history of Washington State through sustained, lifelong contributions. The nominees must have been or currently hold membership in WSNA. The nominee may be living or deceased.
To be considered, nominations must include all required documentation to support the award criteria and a photograph of the nominee. The deadline for nominations is November 30, 2021. Nominees will be notified in January 2022. The award winner(s) will be recognized March 17, 2022.
