A big shout out to all who marched on the boss with our petition on Monday, Nov. 20!  Our petition was delivered the CEO and the Director of Nursing. Several nurses spoke passionately about the need for fair wages and how nurses need to be recognized for our years of service at Kindred. We need to be able to attract and retain quality nursing staff! Thank you to those who also turned out to speak about this at our 5th bargaining session which was held on November 21.  WSNA presented a counter wage proposal and reiterated our other previous proposals and asked that management engage with us with meaningful discussions around these proposals.

What can you do to support your team and advocate for a fair contract?

Join us for bargaining, next session Tuesday, Nov. 29  tentatively set for 2 p.m. Contact Sam via text or phone call for details: 425-606-7036.

Sticker up and file an ADO, tell them in writing when your unit is not safely staffed. Please fill out an ADO every time you don’t have the staffing you need, you miss breaks or meals, etc. Here is the link to the online ADO form and more information about ADOs.

Attend or join Staffing Committee to help ensure bad, unsafe staffing plans don’t get adopted. Members of the committee must be relieved from work, and it is paid time.
