It’s time to nominate your WSNA Officers for 2022-2025

WSNA local unit officers are elected by the union nurse members every three years. WSNA Officers work in collaboration with the Nurse Representative to advocate for bargaining unit nurses. WSNA provides training for each of these roles. You may nominate yourself or someone you feel would fill the role well. After nominations close, we will confirm willingness to serve, and mail ballot elections will be held.

Officer Positions include: Chairperson; Co-Chairperson; Secretary/Treasurer; and Grievance Officer.

Duties of Officers:

  1. The Chairperson shall preside at all meetings of the unit and be an ex officio member, with vote, of all committees, except the Nominating Committee.
  2. The Co-Chairperson shall perform the duties of the chairperson in the absence of the chairperson and shall perform other duties as may be assigned.
  3. The positions of Secretary/Treasurer is combined and held by one person. This person will keep record of meeting notes and finance reports and be responsible for processing vouchers.
  4. The Grievance Officer shall be the liaison between the unit and WSNA to advise and assist WSNA in the Association's dealings with the Employer concerning grievances.

Note those currently holding the officer positions are Chairperson Nik Jennings; Co-Chairperson Aimee Clifford; Secretary/Treasurer Mary Robinson; and Grievance Officer Michele Liedtke-McDonald. There are no term limits, so they are eligible to run again as officers.

Submit your nominations electronically using the link below no later than December 2, 2022.
