26th Annual HIV Clinical Update for Nurses

Guided by a planning committee of nursing professionals, the Mountain West AIDS Education and Training Center (MWAETC) and the Association of Nurses in AIDS Care (ANAC), are pleased to present the 26th Annual HIV Clinical Update for Nurses Conference. This conference will provide information on the latest advances in HIV care and treatment, important co-morbidities, and challenges affecting patients with HIV.

Conference sessions include: What’s New in HIV Care? A Clinical Update; New Paradigms in Biomedical HIV Prevention; Clinical Manifestation of HIV: Case Studies; Rapid Antiretroviral Therapy; Managing Opioid and Methamphetamine Use in the HIV Care Setting; Addressing the Unique Challenges of Adolescents Living with HIV; Improving Outcomes for Individuals who are Justice-Involved; Intimate Partner Violence and HIV; Integrating Mindfulness in the Clinical Setting; and, Motivational Interviewing. A patient panel will share their experiences in creating a welcoming environment to improve retention in services, and a provider panel will discuss the challenges faced by PLWH including housing, justice involvement, and substance use among others.

The two-day event will be held at the conveniently located La Quinta Inn & Suites in Tacoma, WA.

Registration is $100 through May 1, $130 afterwards through May 30. Student registration is $50 through May 30. Registration closes May 30.

Join us for a free networking event from 4:00 to 5:00 pm on June 6th. This event is paid for by the MWAETC. Appetizers and a no host bar will be provided. Please indicate if you plan to attend as you complete your registration.
