General Assembly, bylaws amendments, and resolutions

The General Assembly, held every odd-numbered year at WSNA's biennial Convention and open to all WSNA members in good standing, is the highest decision-making body within WSNA. Among its duties are considering and voting on proposed resolutions and proposed changes to the WSNA bylaws.

Resolutions passed by the General Assembly help determine the priorities of the association, and thereby directly affect the work of WSNA’s Board of Directors and staff for the ensuing biennium.

Traditionally, although the General Assembly can vote to approve bylaws amendments, it has voted to recommend the amendments to the full membership, which then votes on them at the same time as they vote in the elections for candidates for WSNA office following the General Assembly
