You can join now and jump in with the Do It In 10 Days! Hydration Challenge!, which aims to help you improve your hydration. The Institute of Medicine suggests that adequate daily intake of water for women starts at 12 cups (2.7 liters) and 16 cups for men (3.7 liters). Many of us don’t drink nearly that much because in our busy jobs it can be hard to take bathroom breaks or carry a water bottle around or even to think about our hydration needs.

Making hydration a priority is important because water can help with weight loss, provide an energy boost and even improve skin tone.

The sad fact is, nurses are less healthy than the average American. Research shows that nurses are more likely to be overweight, have higher levels of stress and get less sleep. The HNHN Grand Challenge helps you improve your health through a health assessment survey, information and tips to help you improve your health, periodic challenges in the five focus areas and a social platform to share advice and successes.

The HNHN Grand Challenge is part of ANA’s 2017 Year of the Healthy Nurse, which focuses each month on a specific topic, offering information, resources, webinars and events.
