Facing ​‘healthcare staffing crisis,’ nurses unions turn to state lawmakers for help

“A coalition of unions representing nurses on Monday raised concerns about what they said was a burgeoning hospital staffing crisis and called on Washington state lawmakers to take action now to address the issue. The Washington State Nurses Association and SEIU Healthcare 1199NW said they are working with lawmakers to get legislation introduced in January that will ensure local facilities are properly staffed now and in the future.”
