Kadlec nurses hold informational picket over safety concerns, contract negotiations

RICHLAND, Wash. – Nurses gathered at Kadlec on Monday morning to protest for safer working conditions, emphasizing the importance of safety not only for themselves but also for the general public.

The Washington State Nurses Association (WSNA) organized the protest, citing over 100 incidents of workplace violence reported since October 1, 2025. These incidents include punches, pushes and weapons found on visitors and patients.
