Nurses at Confluence Health Mares Campus vote to unionize
About this coverage
WENATCHEE — Nurses at the Confluence Health Mares Campus, formerly Wenatchee Valley Hospital, have voted to form a union.
About 100 nurses will be represented by the Washington State Nurses Association, who will work with the nurses to help identify bargaining priorities and form a bargaining team to negotiate a first contract.
In a press release, WSNA said the organizing campaign went on for about five months as nurses expressed frustrations over wage parity, potential floating between other Confluence Health facilities and confusion over management structure changes.
The vote to form a union happened earlier this month, on July 19.
