Can you read a union wage scale?

Nurses aren’t in it for the money.

But when and how you get paid is important to us. A union wage scale helps nurses by ensuring you receive competitive and fair wages that reflect your skills and the demanding nature of your work.  This can lead to improved job satisfaction and retention, which is vital in addressing nursing shortages and maintaining high-quality patient care. Union representation has given the nurses at Mares Campus the ability to bargain for a transparent and predictable wage scale in your contract.

Bargaining continues

The bargaining team met for our 20th session of negotiations with management Sept. 26th. You can find that detailed update sent to your personal email. At the table we are talking a lot about your step placement on Central’s wage scale. Since many nurses at the Mares campus have not worked at a union facility, we want to walk you through what those differences are.

Read about how to read a union wage scale here. It can also be found in the documents tab on your WSNA Mares Local unit page.

We’ve had several nurses ask recently about looking up their RN licensure info. You can leave that line blank.
