No, we are not ok with less staff and more patients

It has been brought to our attention that there have been some staffing changes being made to medical floor in regard to nurse-to-patient ratio and total care ratios. We did not mutually agree to this change as we hear Management has claimed. In fact, we oppose changes that lead to worse ratios for nurses. We recognize this is a challenging time for nurses with the influx of patients and the continued burden of boarding patients in the ER. These changes put more strain on an already strained system.

Your local union leaders and WSNA want you to know that we are and will continue to work on a mutually agreed upon solution with Harbor Regional Health regarding these changes and the continued challenges that we all face. If any of you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to get a hold of any of your local union leads/representatives, we are here for you! Thank you for all you do, you all are truly amazing and inspiring.
