The Asian Pacific American Labor Alliance (APALA), AFL-CIO, Seattle Chapter invites you to join us for our 27th Annual Fundraising Banquet and Silent Auction on Friday, April 17, 2026, from 6:00–8:00 PM, held in person at the Jerry Brockey Center, South Seattle College.
This year’s theme, “Unite for Action,” calls into the light the domestic and foreign attacks on all working people, stripping us of our human rights and to make the wealthy few who are rigging everything against working people even richer. Our theme calls on all of us to rise up together in this unprecedented time of crisis. The AFL-CIO put it clearly: “When the Trump administration deports immigrants to inhumane prisons abroad, tries to strip people of their citizenship or other work permits, conducts raids at our worksites, and shoots innocent people who are exercising their constitutionally protected right to peacefully protest, they are targeting workers—many of whom are union members. An attack on one of us is an attack on all of us.” We must Unite for Action, dig deep, hold each other in care and rage, and build connections to create safety for each other. Join our Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities as we come together to advance a democratic movement for social justice and protect our communities and our democracy for future generations.
If additional accommodations are needed, including language interpretation or dietary requests, please notify us at least 30 days before the event, and we will do our best to meet your needs. If you have any questions about the program booklet, accommodations, or health and safety, please don’t hesitate to email us at apalawa@gmail.com.
