RICHLAND, Wash. - Nurses at Kadlec Regional Medical Center gathered outside the hospital on Monday, Jan. 26, for an informational picket, saying stalled contract negotiations have left them working in unsafe conditions that put both caregivers and patients at risk.

The demonstration was organized by the Washington State Nurses Association as negotiations with Kadlec management have stretched into an 18th bargaining session. Nurses say progress has stalled on key issues, including workplace safety, staffing levels to ensure meal and rest breaks, and wages.
