SEATTLE — Registered nurses at Seattle Children’s Hospital have voted by a wide margin to authorize a strike if the hospital and the Washington State Nurses Association (WSNA) cannot reach a new contract, according to the union.

According to a message from the WSNA, electronic voting concluded at 1 p.m. on Monday, with a vast majority of nurses voting in favor of authorizing strike action.

If contract negotiations remain unresolved, the WSNA said in a statement that the bargaining team will provide 10 days’ notice before any strike action, as required by law.
