Spotlight Hannah!

Hey WSNA Nurses!
This week, we are preparing for the WSNA leadership conference in Wenatchee April 26 through 28. Seven of our bargaining team members will learn and network with the other WSNA leaders that have had hard fought contracts settled over the last year. This includes union nurses from Children's, UW, Kadlec, MultiCare and Peace Health facilities. We will share what we glean in our next newsletter!

Bargainer Spotlight:
We asked our WSNA Chair, Hannah Collins-Lewis to give us the news from Prog and introduce herself to those of you who don't already know her. This is what she had to say:
“I’ve been a progressive care nurse for 11 years and at VM since 2018. I was on the bargaining team in 2023 for our last contract and serve as your union chair. I’ve found advocating for my colleagues to be one of the most rewarding experiences of my nursing career. It is vital to hold corporate healthcare systems accountable for their shortcomings — we are doing the caregiving, we deserve to have our voices heard and our profession respected.
Beyond the bedside and bargaining table, you’ll find me playing with my doodle pup, Daphne & her cat sister, Ginger. I enjoy reading, gardening, getting crafty, and spending time in the great outdoors!”
Hannah was a delight and added to our ever growing selection of pictures to make our Union pet calendar.
