Recently, your WSNA Officers met with management to discuss the current clinical groups listed in contract article 8.12. It states that 2 North Tower and Pediatrics are one clinical grouping. That means if a Peds nurse floats to 2 North Tower, they don’t receive the float differential.

With the creation of a dedicated Peds Unit, management proposed deleting that language. We agreed. Furthermore, to make the nurses whole for the times they did float to 2 North Tower, management agreed to pay the differential back to the opening date of the unit, February 1. That was welcome news!
