WSNA nurses at BFHD stepped up and presented heart felt letters to the County Commissioners that demonstrated our passion for the health of our community. Several nurses attended the Board of Health meeting and expressed the urgent need to address the looming retention and recruitment problems at our health district. It made a difference!

Following the Board of Health meeting, the parties met to continue contract negotiations. Both sides made significant movement throughout the day. However, the district was unable to address the wage gap. While we are disappointed we could not reach an agreement today, our negotiation team will continue fight for fair wages.
