New Letters of Understanding

Retention Bonus

We have been in communication with management regarding the retention bonus. As you are aware, the bonus wasn’t in this paycheck, as anticipated. The LOU didn’t get signed by management until today. I have been informed that you should be given a check on or before March 2. It will be a supplemental direct deposit. If you want to change your withdrawals you can log into CHESS and make that change. The taxes and retirement contributions come out of the check but not benefits.

ICU-ED Hybrid LOU

We have agreed to an ICU-ED hybrid position.

Purpose: To pilot a hybrid position that allows RN staff to work in both the ED-ICU as part of their daily assignment. Staff will be scheduled 36 hours in ED and 36 hours in ICU per pay period. RN’s in this position can be flexed between the ED and ICU for staffing needs, but is unable to take an assignment outside of ED or ICU due to the need to expeditiously recall RN back to home departments to staff. Staff who are interested, watch for posting of the position(s).

Negotiations

We are scheduled for IBB (Interest Based Bargaining) training on Monday, February 28. It’s just the training so there won’t be any updates following that session. The first date of bargaining is scheduled for March 8, and an update following that session will be provided.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact your Nurse Representative, Carmen Garrison, cgarrison@wsna.org.
