Retention bonus agreement

We heard your concerns related to the retention bonus agreement and have taken action. We have worked with CHI Counsel to make the following changes to the agreement language:

  1. At-will employment language will be removed. Bargaining Unit nurses are not at-will employees.
  2. Language indicating the ability to change policies and procedures at will has been removed.
  3. Governing Law language will now reflect that nurses are subject Washington Law, not Kentucky Law.
  4. Dispute language will now be in line with the grievance process, as defined by the CBA.
  5. Language regarding nurses waiving the right to a jury has been removed. This language was not applicable to the grievance process and not enforceable.

Please be aware that the new agreements will be provided at your facility in the near future. If you have received an agreement with the previous language please request a new agreement prior to signing. If you have already signed the previous agreement, please speak to Karyn about signing the updated version.
