Local Unit Officer and Committee Nominations

Your current WSNA Officer’s 3 year term of office is ending.  The first step in the process is for nurses to be nominated for each position. Once nominations are complete and nominees are confirmed, a ballot will be mailed out to all members in good standing.  The positions are: Co-Chair (2), Secretary, Treasurer, and Grievance Officers (2).  Officers may succeed themselves.

For Committees, please nominate nurses you feel who would be great candidates for the Safety Committee and the Nurse Staffing Committee.  Committee members will not be elected, but will be appointed by the current officers.

All nominations are due no later than July 17, 2023.

PTO Donations to Bargaining Team

Thank you to the nurses who served on the bargaining team.  They put their heart and soul into this; often sacrificing pay, PTO, and personal time to fight for a fair contract.

If you would like to donate PTO to the bargaining team nurses, even if it’s 1 hour, that would be a great way to say “Thank You.”  The bargaining team will divide the donated PTO equally.

Download the PTO donation form from our WSNA local unit webpage.  Scan or take a photo of your completed form and email to jstewart@wsna.org  Deadline for donations is July 14.

Thank you in advance.

Contract Highlights

The 2023-2026 Contract is being reviewed, edited and signed.  We will send you notice when it’s posted on our WSNA webpage.

For a review of highlights, please see  “Contract Highlights” on our webpage.

NEW: Work Day Wage Scale

Effective July 2, 2023, because of Workday, the wage scale is “tilted” and will appear different than the scale we showed you upon contract ratification.  Your step will go down one, though your pay is not affected. The first step is now “base,” with 0 years experience; it is no longer step 1.  Therefore, each step level now equals your years of experience.  For example, Step 5 = 5 years of experience, but is equal to the same pay as Step 6 of the ratification scale. Step 24 = 24 years of experience but is equal to the same pay as Step 25 of the ratification scale.

Workday Scale effective now:

Ratification Scale (now replaced by Workday scale):
