Online Voting Opens on August 13! 

From August 13 at 0600 to August 14 at 1800, online voting will be open for our Preceptor Floating Letter of Agreement, our START Resource Letter of Agreement, and our Local Unit Rules Update. You can read more about these letters of agreement here. 

These will be electronic elections. In order to receive a ballot, WSNA must have your correct email address on file.  If you do not receive a ballot by 0600 on August 13, please check your junk mail and contact the WSNA Rep. at Telmore@WSNA.org to problem solve.

To update your email address and ensure that you receive your electronic ballot in future elections, you can go to https://www.wsna.org/membership/update-info.

WSNA Drop-In Hours for 8/13 and 8/14

If you have any questions about online voting, want to come to a mini-info session on being a Unit Rep, or have issues you want to bring up to your officer team, come to one of our drop-in info sessions this week! On August 13th we’ll be in the Mt. Adams Conference Room from 0700-1100, and on August 14th we’ll be in the Olympic Room from 1000-1330.

We’ll have snacks, WSNA swag, and supplies to make friendship bracelets!

Contract Negotiation Survey!

The current contract between WSNA and Good Samaritan expires on March. 31, 2026. The pre-negotiation member survey is a vital step in our preparation for contract negotiations. Your input is critical in determining our priorities as we head to the bargaining table to advocate for your needs. We cannot consider your issues and concerns unless we hear from you. All responses are confidential between WSNA and your contract negotiating team. Five nurses that fill out the negotiations survey will win an item of their choice from the new WSNA store.

Virtual Unit Rep Trainings: Keep Our Union Strong  

Want to be more involved in our WSNA union but don’t know how? Have you been a unit rep in the past but need a refresher on what the job should look like? Just want to find out what being a unit rep is all about? Come join us for our virtual unit rep trainings in August!

The training covers the basics of contract enforcement and workplace organizing. Topics include:

• The role of a Unit Rep
• Our rights at work
• Just cause discipline
• Internal issue organizing for your unit
• Actions during contract campaigns

We’ll be holding virtual training sessions for about an hour on these dates:

• Tuesday August 26, 0900
• Tuesday August 26, 1200
• Wednesday August 27, 1900
• Thursday August 28, 1200
