Contract Ratification Vote – June 29  6 a.m. to 9 p.m.

• Location:  Baker Conference Room, 1^st floor, where the historical hallway meets Meadow. 
• You must be a member in good standing to be able to vote.
• In-Person voting only
• Will require a simple majority (50% + 1 to pass), of those who come to vote. 
• Allow yourself enough time to review the contract draft (red-lined version) and ask questions. 
• Count begins promptly at 9 p.m. and immediate results will be announced on our social media. 
• Bargaining unit nurses in good standing are welcome to witness and/or assist in the vote count.
• WSNA membership applications available at the vote for same day registration.

Contract Highlights

Some of the highlights include:

• Break Nurses
• Improved Staffing with safeguards
• $ 3,500 Ratification Bonus for 0.9-1.0 FTE.  Prorated for those less than 0.9 FTE. Per diem prorated at 0.3 (Correction, must be employed at the time of payout, which is 8/4). 
• Wage increase of 12-24% the first year; then 4.5% and 3.5% (Mirrors TG wage scale).
• Increases to differentials.
• Increase to Tiered Float Pool premium – now $6, $8, and $12)
• Float pay $5/hr when floating outside your clinical grouping.
• Staffing Standard Premium (aka EXLO) of $5/hr
• Full Rest Between Shift Pay for the entire subsequent shift.
• Staffing Changes, including Integrated/Team Nursing must be approved by the Nurse Staffing Committee.
• Stacking of call back pay
• Partial shifts available for per diem nurses when availabilities offered.
• New student loan repayment program 

PTO Donations to Bargaining Team

Thank you to the nurses who served on the Bargaining Team.  They put their heart and soul into this; often sacrificing pay, PTO, and personal time to fight for a fair contract.

If you would like to donate PTO to the bargaining team nurses, even if it’s 1 hour, that would be a great way to say “Thank You.”  The bargaining team will divide the donated PTO equally. 

The PTO donation form can be found on the WSNA local unit webpage and they will be available at the vote tomorrow.  Deadline for donations is July 14.  Completed forms can also be emailed to jstewart@wsna.org  Thank you in advance. 

Join us for our final bargaining-related Sip and Chats Thursday and Friday

This week will be the final Sip and Chats for now, as we take a brief break.  Join us this Thursday at 8 p.m. as we will be live from the ratification vote.  Then again Friday morning at 8 a.m. if you weren’t able to join us Thursday.
