Bargaining update session 6

We met with the hospital on 11/27, and we were able to reach an agreement on contract language related to FMLA. We discussed major topics, including wages, part-time and per diem employees receiving annual step increases, and premium pay, with very little movement from the hospital. We need support from the bargaining unit to push the employer forward and win agreements on these and other issues. Please see one of the local officers about signing our petition.

There was also discussion around the meal and rest break RCW that went into effect July 1, 2024. We will be looking to host online education training sessions around these changes. Dates and times will be forthcoming.

The bargaining team is putting in a lot of time to get you the best contract possible. They have spent the last 9.5 hours bargaining and the employer is unwilling to pay for this time at the table. Please consider donating PTO to the bargaining team. Ask your officers for a paper copy for now.  We will have a digital copy available soon.

We will be back at the table on December 18.

Your Bargaining Team,
