A Brief Friday Update
Posted Mar 13, 2026
A Note of Thanks
As some of you have probably heard, Mari Stewart has resigned her position from the WSNA Board. Mari’s advocacy, knowledge, and persistence will be missed. We wish her well on her next adventure and want to sincerely thank her for the time and effort she gave to our nurses and our unit.
Survey
Nurses are known for speaking up for their patients, now it’s time to speak up for yourselves. The negotiations survey is open and is the best opportunity for you to communicate your priorities to the negotiating team as they prepare.
The survey is now out, and QR codes will be posted around the hospital so you can easily participate. If you have questions about the survey, please reach out to or speak with one of the unit officers or call your nurse rep.
Cafeteria Time
Robin, your WSNA representative, will be on site in the employee portion of the cafeteria on Monday, March 16, from 1 – 2:30 pm. Stop by to say hello, ask questions, share feedback, or just check to see if there is any candy left.
In the Background
As you are all aware, there are multiple issues we are addressing in the background. The officers continue to work through these challenges, and we hope to have updates on many of these issues soon. As information becomes available, we will share it with you.
And if you have read this far, we should mention that there is now a vacancy in the officer group. If you have questions about what serving as an officer looks like (time commitment, responsibilities, etc.), please reach out. We would love to work with you.
Have a good weekend.
In solidarity,
Christen Siedler, RN, BSN – Co-Chair
Christina Fowler, RN – Secretary
Ron Brutton, RN, BSN – Treasurer
Kristine Browne, BSN, RN – Grievance Officer
