A special message from Local Unit Vice-Chair Jacob Garcia

To all my colleagues at Kadlec,

I’m proud to recommend a “yes” vote on this tentative agreement because of the many things that will benefit nurses at Kadlec. In addition to preserving PTO and EIB banks for all current nurses, our staffing committee will be stronger, our workplace violence measures are stronger, and we’re looking at a 10% across-the-board wage increase—including 5.5% by January 1—and a $1,500 signing bonus. None of these things came easy. We never would have gotten here without our coalition work and our willingness to strike. I truly believe this TA is a huge win for all of us.

In solidarity,

Jacob Garcia, Vice-Chair
