Contract negotiations update

On May 20 and 23, your contract negotiation team met with hospital administration for our fourth and fifth negotiation sessions. Although progress was made on issues such as shift rotation and premiums, your bargaining team remains disappointed that management is not listening when it comes to our desire for staffing language, fairness when awarding extra shifts and pay that will attract and retain nurses. Time and time again hospital administration dismissed your concerns as being a matter of “perception” and not “reality”.

We currently are working on scheduling additional negotiation dates for June.

Your bargaining team is asking that all nurses wear a “I Support My Bargaining Team” sticker to show your support for a fair contract. Contact Colleen, Melanie or Carey for stickers.

Thank you to all of you who joined the Arbor Health Community Hospital Board Meeting last month! Your bargaining team is again asking you to join this month’s Arbor Health Community Hospital Board meeting to show your support for a FAIR CONTRACT. The board meets next on May 25, 2022, at 1530 on ZOOM.

We are working on scheduling a union meeting so that we may provide a more personal negotiation update. STAY TUNED!
