Officer nominations for Arbor Health Morton!
Posted Aug 19, 2025
It is time for officer nominations at Arbor Health Morton. WSNA officer positions are the leading voices in union activity and work to promote adherence to the contract and maintain safe working conditions at your facility. Officers are also there to support nurses who have questions about union activity as well as teaching nurses about their rights as unionized employees.
We are asking for nominations of people who represent strong leaders on your unit and have a drive to create change. Strong leaders make strong units!
If this describes you, you are welcome to nominate yourself as a leader amongst your peers.
Being an officer allows you to have one-on-one conversations with your employer about your working conditions and issues on your unit. It allows you access to meetings where you can voice your own concerns as well as those of your peers. It allows you to take a leadership role and be at the center of making Arbor Health Morton a place where people are happy to come to work each day.
Please nominate nurses for the following positions:
- Chair
- Co-Chair
- Secretary
- Treasurer
- Membership
- Grievance 1
- Grievance 2
This is your opportunity to be the voice of your unit and make sure the nurses are heard!
Please send an email to bbalogh@wsna.org with the nurses of your choice and the positions you are recommending for them. No nurses will be chosen for the officer election without their consent.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact your nurse rep, Brenda Balogh, at bbalogh@wsna.org.

Document unsafe conditions
If you find yourself in a situation that you believe creates unsafe conditions for patients or for you, you should complete a Staffing Complaint / ADO Form as soon as possible.
By completing the form, you will help make the problem known to management, creating an opportunity for the problem to be addressed. Additionally, you will be documenting the facts, which may be helpful to you later if there is a negative outcome.
WSNA also uses your ADO forms to track the problems occurring in your facility. When you and your coworkers take the important step of filling out an ADO form, you are helping to identify whether there is a pattern of unsafe conditions for you or your patients at your facilities. This information is used by your conference committee, staffing committee, and WSNA labor staff to improve your working conditions.
Representation rights
As a union member, you have the right to have a representative present in any meetings with management that could potentially lead to disciplinary action against you.
If called into a meeting with management, read the following to management when the meeting begins:
If this discussion could in any way lead to my being disciplined or terminated, I respectfully request that my union representative be present at this meeting. Without representation present, I choose not to participate in this discussion.
Find out more about this crucial right and how to exercise it to ensure your fair treatment and protection.
