Premium and Shift Differential Issues
Posted Feb 27, 2026
We have confirmed that certain premiums and shift differential increases bargained in our new contract did not appear on this paycheck. Under the contract, these increases were to take effect in the first full pay period following ratification. That means the updated premiums and differentials should have been reflected in this check. They were not.
We have contacted the employer and demanded an immediate explanation, along with a clear timeline for when nurses will receive the full amount owed. Nurses ratified this contract in good faith. The employer is obligated to implement it in full and on time.
If this is not corrected promptly, we are prepared to take further action, including filing a grievance. Our expectation is simple: pay nurses what they have earned.
We will provide an update as soon as we receive more information. Thank you to everyone who brought this forward. A strong contract only works when we enforce it together.
Please contact your WSNA Nurse Representative or one of your Local Unit Officers if you have questions.
