NICU per diems have a TA!

Congratulations to the NICU per diem staff, who came to a TA on their first contract 4/17/24!  They are the first and only group of per diems to be represented within Tacoma General and Mary Bridge, an amazing accomplishment!

The contract language guarantees current wages and premiums, ensures that no changes can be made to work schedules or availability, and recognizes NICU per diem nurses as part of the NICU bargaining unit. More importantly, it provides just cause, progressive discipline, and access to  the grievance process which was previously unavailable.

This contract will be in the form of an MOU that is added to the NICU bargaining unit CBA. In order to adopt the MOU, the entire bargaining unit will be able to review and a vote on approval. The date of the vote is pending, but more information will be coming soon. Keep an eye on your email for updates!

Congratulations per diem nurses!
