We are stronger together

This holiday season we are grateful for nurses who refuse to let problems go unchecked. When nurses noticed that their holiday pay did not seem accurate, they raised the concern and brought it to the Union. We brought the issue to management at our monthly meeting and demanded that the issue be fixed. Today we are pleased to share the outcome. Following an audit of Symplr, more than 200 WSNA nurses at St. John will receive retroactive holiday pay. This equates to thousands of dollars that will go into the pockets of our members at St. John.

This victory is a clear reminder that there is POWER in participation and  EVERY voice in OUR union matters. When nurses speak up, we uncover problems. When we take action together, we win solutions. No issue is too small. No concern is unimportant. Nurses speaking up created real change for hundreds of coworkers.

Thank you for your vigilance, your solidarity, and your commitment to one another. Have a wonderful holiday season and know that your union is here, working with you every step of the way. We look forward to seeing you around the hospital.

In solidarity,
