Agreement on Weekend Bonus MOU

Over the last several months, nurses have reported challenges with getting their weekend bonus paid by PeaceHealth when working at consecutive weekends (For example: at least 1 shift one weekend and at least one shift the next weekend). When this topic was brought to the attention of management, it was clear there was not a joint understanding of how this new language should be applied since management believed nurses must work both shifts within the weekend to be eligible for pay and not just one. We did not agree. We also noted there were nurses who submitted PPA forms to be paid, they were approved by management, yet payment had never been received. As a result of these two problems, we decided it was time to bargain a Memorandum of Understanding, in order to solidify the process moving forward, and obtain rightful pay from the approved PPAs for our valuable RNs.  Therefore, as a result of this MOU, not only will nurses be paid weekend bonus for working a single weekend shift, or both weekend shifts, but those nurses who submitted PPAs for weekend bonus correction where the PPAs were approved will see retro pay on their upcoming checks.

The VOTE will begin Monday August 4 at 0600 and conclude on August 5 at 1800.
