PeaceHealth St. John weekend bonus update

On Feb 6, your local unit officers met with  management to discuss the recent weekend bonus communication which was put out by St. John’s. It was found that there were some areas in management’s communication that were not consistent with the contract, and unfortunately, it communicated a different approach to the application of the how the language actually applies. While informal communications are not enforceable documents, in partnership, both parties met and agreed we want contract to be upheld and honored. So as a result, management has agreed to issue a new communication to the nurses so the messaging is consistent with the collective bargaining agreement.

What do you need to do?

If you have been impacted as a result of this discrepancy, and lost pay, we ask you submit a PPA (Payroll Period Adjustment) form right away. This is the preferred  route for nurses to receive any lost wages. If for some reason, you still need help obtaining your lost wages, don’t hesitate to reach out to a local unit officer, or your Nurse Representative and we will assist you in getting it corrected.

If you have any questions, please contact your nurse representative Jaclyn Smedley, BSN, RN at Jsmedley@wsna.org.
