Bargaining update #5

We met for our 5th contract negotiation session with the County on Dec. 3, 2020.

We had lengthy discussions about daily overtime for those who are eligible, involuntary transfers, and other areas where the County has made proposals. The County has brought several language proposals, and it continues to be very time-consuming to carefully review all of them. We continue to bargain for the changes that achieve modest gains and minimize takeaways.

We are confident we will protect daily overtime pay. We are working hard to protect other existing rights and make modest improvements in our existing language. We know the County is in uncertain financial times, but are pushing for modest economic gains.

Our next scheduled bargaining session is Monday, Dec. 7. Continue to wear your WSNA button every day to work to show support of your bargaining team.

If you have not already done so, please answer this two-question survey about conference committee meetings.
