Mandatory vaccinations

On August 9 at 1000, WSNA met with King County leadership and other unions to learn that King County is imposing mandatory vaccinations with exceptions for documented medical contraindications and sincerely-held religious beliefs. Employees will be required to be fully vaccinated by Oct. 18, 2021, or will be terminated.

WSNA immediately sent a letter to King Co. demanding to bargain the effects of this change to your working conditions. While the union is unable to demand that the employer withdraw this vaccine mandate, the union can and will bargain certain parameters of the implementation of this mandate. Your WSNA nurse rep and officers will update you with more information when we learn more.
