Negotiation update session #1

We had our FIRST negotiations session with management today via Zoom. We were able to present a complete proposal to management today and based on the results of the survey and feedback from all of you our proposal included:

  • Increase in wages and other economic premiums.
  • Protection of employee benefits and working conditions.
  • Changes to make reporting of missed breaks easier.
  • Language to improve impact of the staffing committee and to ensure RNs have a meaningful voice on that committee.
  • Introduction of workplace violence language.

The first day is always a little lengthy as we present our position to management. We anticipate that the next session – April 19, 2021 - will allow for more robust dialogue and discussion as we delve into the details.

What can you do?

Stay tuned for regular updates! We will have those updates out to you after each session. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact one of your negotiating team members listed below or email your WSNA nurse rep Sue Dunlap at sdunlap@wsna.org.
