Bargaining Day One Update

IMG 0559

Today was our first bargaining session with the County. Our bargaining team presented an opening proposal advocating for our unit around issues of premiums (degree, weekend, evening, and preceptor), wages, seniority, comp time, on-call, floating holidays, longevity, building safety, and others you mentioned in our survey. We discussed the GPS fleet vehicle policy and some questions around education leave. We had productive conversations about those issues and will be diving into counter-proposals next session on November 4.

If you didn't get an "I support my bargaining team" button today, please stop by the treat table in Suite 200. We are encouraging bargaining unit members to wear them during work to show solidarity with our bargaining team.

We will continue to provide updates from the bargaining table. Reach out to your bargaining team or your Nurse Representative Bret Percival with any questions.
