Bargaining update - Day 1

SAFETY FIRST

Out of an abundance of caution, we agreed to postpone our first in-person bargaining session until Monday due to weather. However, we pushed them to hold a short workplace safety-focused bargaining session via Teams this afternoon. As we’ve seen firsthand this week, RNs face the threat of workplace violence every day both on and off the job. We shared our concerns both about PeaceHealth’s existing policies for complex/disruptive patient care plans and asked for more communication and collaboration moving forward to address workplace violence.

Monday morning we’ll kick off bargaining for our full contract. Here’s how you can help us show management we’re all in this together.
