Nurses Education Series (NES): Navigating Nursing Practice in the sea of AI

Date: Saturday, March 14, 2026
Time: 9 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. (PST)
Location: Zoom
Tickets: Free for WSNA members
**2.5 hours of ANCC contact hours (pending approval)

Artificial intelligence is quickly becoming part of everyday health care, from electronic health records to search engines and clinical tools. While AI offers exciting possibilities, it is not a replacement for trained clinicians; it is simply another tool.

Nurses can approach AI as they would any other clinical tool, using it intentionally and with a critical eye. By exploring what AI is and is not, along with its benefits and limitations and how it is being used in nursing practice today, nurses can gain confidence in when to use AI and when not to.

Participants will come away with a clearer understanding of how nursing skills, critical thinking, and clinical judgment remain essential as AI becomes a permanent part of the health care landscape.
