Tentative Agreement Wage Scale

WSNA Wage scales if the TA is ratified

These are the wage scales reflecting wage increases over the next three years for full-time/part-time and per diem nurses that will become effective on 12/26/21 if the Tentative Agreement is ratified. Your bargaining team recommends a *yes* vote on this TA. One of the clearest instructions we received in the bargaining survey was to give nurses a reason to stay at St. Joe’s – to improve retention. Our new negotiated wage rates do that. Not only do these wage rates put us above the market average, but they give us a reason to stay and to attract more (and more experienced!) nurses at St. Joe’s.

The first few columns (“Current Wage”) depict what FTE RNs and per diem RNs currently make. The second batch of columns (“Eff. 12/26/21”) represent what FTE RNs and per diem RNS would make upon ratification after an 11% increase to base wages and the new 15% per diem differential. The group also reflects the “ghost steps” at 17, 21, and 23 filled in.

The third and fourth group of columns reflect wage increases in year 2 and year 3 of the contract, with additional 4% increases each year (beginning the first full pay period after 11/1/22 and 11/1/23, respectively).

*Raises becomes effective the first full pay period after 11/1 in 2022 and 2023
^An earlier summary said “all” ghost steps had been filled in; this is incorrect. Steps 19, 21, 23 were filled in; Step 27 remains a ghost step.
