Bargaining Update

On Tuesday, your bargaining team met for the first time to prepare for our upcoming negotiations. We trained together, built our team, and dug into the results of the pre-negotiation survey. Thank you to everyone who has already filled it out. Every single response has been read, and your input will guide the priorities we take to the bargaining table.

If you have not yet completed the survey, there is still time. The survey will remain open until negotiations begin, and new responses will be reviewed at our next prep session on 9/19. You can complete the survey by clicking the link below.

Bargaining Boot Camp

Join us for bargaining boot camps on 9/27 and 10/4 at Titlow Park from 1300–1600. These family-friendly events are open to all WSNA nurses, their families, and well-behaved pets from Tacoma General and Mary Bridge NICU. Come learn how negotiations work, enjoy activities for all ages, and spend time together in solidarity with your coworkers. Snacks and drinks will be provided. We look forward to seeing you there.

Protect Trans Kids Rally – 9/12 at 1600 in Wright Park

MultiCare has announced that starting 9/12/2025 it will no longer provide gender affirming care for minors. We strongly oppose this decision and call on MultiCare to reverse course. As nurses, we follow evidence-based practice, and the evidence is clear: gender affirming care saves lives. It improves mental health, reduces suicidal ideation, and leads to better outcomes for our patients. Stand with us tomorrow at Wright Park and make your voice heard at the Protect Trans Kids Rally.

Remembering 9/11

Today marks 24 years since the tragic events of 9/11/2001. Thousands of lives were lost, and the impact continues to shape our country. We honor the memory of those who died, and we remember the sacrifices of those who served in the decades of war that followed.

Together, we are stronger.

When nurses stand united, we win safe staffing, fair contracts, and better care for our patients. Thank you for being part of this fight.
