Were you denied the $5/hr COVID float premium?

WSNA has filed a grievance for RNs denied the float premium referenced in the COVID MOU. We want to ensure that every nurse entitled to the premium receives it.

If you have already completed an ADO because you were denied the $5/hr float premium, the WSNA nurse rep will be in contact with you. If you have not already completed an ADO for this, email WSNA Nurse Rep Sydne James, sjames@wsna.org with your name, unit, the dates and hours that you were floated, the floating circumstances.

WSNA’s position is that if you were floated to the COVID unit, you are entitled to the float premium. If you normally work on the unit that became the COVID unit, you are entitled to the float premium. If you normally work in ICU and you worked in the COVID unit caring for patients admitted with ICU orders, you are entitled to the float premium...and so on.

WSNA intends to ask for a settlement for this grievance that captures every nurse who worked on the COVID unit and who was denied the $5/hr premium. In order to do so, we need to hear from you to add your name and details to the list.

Don’t delay and don’t let your nurse colleagues miss out. Make sure they see this email and act quickly.
