Your WSNA Bargaining Team is Ready to Represent You
Posted Aug 14, 2025
We are excited to announce your WSNA bargaining team for our upcoming contract negotiations at Tacoma General. This team will be representing all nurses at TG at the bargaining table, bringing your priorities and your voice directly to management.
Our strength comes from every nurse standing together. Together we will fight for the best contract possible for all of us and we need every nurse at TG standing shoulder to shoulder with us every step of the way. The best way to make sure your priorities are heard is to complete the pre-negotiation survey today.

If you haven’t filled out the survey yet please complete it today, and ask your co-workers to do the same. You can complete the survey by following the link below.
Get to Know Your Bargaining Team
The members of our bargaining team are all nurses at Tacoma General, and over the next couple of months we will be highlighting each member as we prepare for negotiations. Today we are highlighting Therese Juntunen, our Union Co-Chair and Bargaining Team Member:
“Hello! I’m Therese Juntunen, your friendly and fierce local unit chair! I took this position in June of 2024 in an attempt to continue the work of my amazing friend Danielle O’Toole. I graduated nursing school from TCC in March 2017 and began my career in TG NTICU, where I still reside. I have learned and grown under many skilled and experienced nurses there, who I owe my deepest appreciation for everything I know about nursing. Definitely a local. I grew up in Lakewood but have spent my adult life in Puyallup.
When I’m not at the hospital I spend my time as a chaos coordinator for the tiny army of men I created from scratch. My boys are 16,13, and 2 so we’re doing all the hard stages at once, because that’s just how I roll. Add a fiancé and two male dogs to the list- I’m outnumbered but always the queen! I’m a nurturer and protector to my core. My people are everything to me. My family, my friends, and the 900 or so nurses at Tacoma General, and that’s why I have chosen to serve in this roll. Creating a place where we are respected and valued is my priority!”

Communications During Bargaining
In addition to emails, we will be texting everyone through a unique number with updates, action items, volunteer opportunities and more throughout the contract campaign. It’s important to make sure that your number is up to date with WSNA. If you have not been receiving texts from WSNA please reach out to Jared or one of the officers for assistance.
We will have more info coming out soon about events like, like t-shirt hand outs and bargaining boot camp, leading up to the start of negotiations so if you know of someone not receiving communications from WSNA please let us know!
All of us at TG deserve the best contract we can get.
That includes fair wages and improvements to the workplace like better staffing and increased security. The only way we get that contract is by showing our solidarity every day, and that starts today. See you around the campus!
