The vote is in!

WSNA Nurses!

Your bargaining committee is happy to announce that YOU overwhelmingly voted to approve our new Union contract with Peace Health. The terms of the new agreement take effect starting November 1.

Thanks to EVERYONE who made this a successful contract campaign. Whether you signed a petition card, came to negotiations to observe, donated PTO, or made time to fill out your bargaining survey, every step was a part of building NURSE POWER at United General.

Now that we have ratified the new contract, Union staff will work with the management team at UGMC to finalize the final draft of the agreement. Please watch the website for this final draft to be posted.

LAST BUT NOT LEAST: while our wage improvements will take effect for all the work we do starting November 1, it may take payroll one or two pay cycles to make sure the new rates are reflected in our paychecks. If that work doesn’t get don’t by the time we receive our first paychecks in November, Management has committed to paying all wage improvements retroactive to November 1.

Please don’t hesitate to be in touch with any questions. You can reach Nurse Representative Jaclyn Smedley anytime at: [email protected].

In Solidarity,
