WSNA at UWMC Bargaining Update For Wednesday November 5
Posted Nov 5, 2025
Bargaining Continues….
After 17 sessions meeting with the employer, WSNA continues to fight for a fair contract for Registered Nurses.
Your team continues to work with a PERC Mediator in an effort to assist the employer in recognizing the value of Registered Nurses at UWMC. After our last counter, the employer came back with a proposal containing only a $750 signing bonus. We are countering with a larger Cash Bonus as well as other benefits in an effort to reach a Tentative Agreement.
Virtual Town Hall Meetings coming soon!
Stay tuned for upcoming Town Hall meetings in the upcoming weeks. We want all RNs to be able to participate, be heard, and have all your questions answered.
WSNA Officer Elections Coming Soon!
Ever been interested in representing your colleagues as a Union Leader? Do you want to be part of the group of RNs working at UWMC that meet with UWMC Leadership to hold them accountable to the Contract? Want to be part of future decision making and bargaining teams?
WSNA will provide group and personal training for each position.
We will be conducting our WSNA Local Unit Officer Elections prior to the end of the year.
Positions available include Chair, Co-Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, Grievance Officer, Membership Chair.
Although we will be sending out officer nomination forms and eventually election ballots, feel free to reach out to WSNA Nurse Representative Ed Zercher at ezercher@wsna.org to express your interest or find out more about how you can make a difference.
We are seeking RNs who want to have a greater voice in your workplace…
Not every unit or clinic has a designated WSNA representative. We are looking for RNs wanting to get more involved and become the point person for WSNA on your unit. This is empowering work that allows RNs to be informed and respected by unit leadership.
If you have an interest in becoming the WSNA point person on your unit, contact Nurse Representative Ed Zercher at ezercher@wsna.org.
