WSNA at UWMC Montlake Bargaining Update
Posted Oct 15, 2025

On Tuesday, October 14, your nurse bargaining team met with the employer for our 17th negotiations session. This was our second session working with a professional mediator from the Public Employment Relations Commission (PERC).
Both sides offered new proposals and continued to discuss what it will take to reach an agreement on which we can recommend a YES vote to our members.
All proposals take into account the imminent elimination of the 28/160 Flexible Scheduling Option and the Employer’s plan to replace it with Actual Time Recorded minute-to minute timekeeping and different scheduling parameters.
The employer has insisted that they will be unilaterally implementing these schedule changes as soon as February of 2026.
WSNA put forth the last proposal of the day, and we are waiting to hear back from the employer who has committed to seeking additional authority to be able to strike a deal.
We are going to be available to discuss our progress and answer any questions you may have on the following date and times:
Wednesday October 22 from 1-2:30 pm in the rear of the Cafeteria
Wednesday October 22 from 9-10:30 pm in at the 3rd floor Lobby Espresso
Come down and receive a Free beverage of your choice during these time periods.
We will also be handing out WSNA T-shirts so that RNs can wear these in solidarity every Monday until we are able to reach a Tentative Agreement.
Show up and get informed.
