Negotiations update

Yesterday, Aug. 5, we had our first session with the Federal Mediator. Unfortunately, after spending all day in mediation we never received a proposal from Virginia Mason to make any progress. Now is the time to stand together as Virginia Mason nurses, sign the petition stating we want management to know that we expect them to bargain in good faith with our union to provide the safe staffing our patients deserve and the pay and benefits nurses deserve.

Private Facebook Group

Hello Virginia Mason RNs,

We have created a private local unit Facebook group for Virginia Mason nurses only. This will be a space to get updates on the contract bargaining, see videos of your elected officers and the team, ask questions, post union strong photos, and share stories.

If you have not already and you would like to join our private local unit Facebook group, please provide your name and personal email (no VM, please) address using this online form. Providing this information gives WSNA permission to add you to the pre-approval list for the private group before you join. Next week, we'll follow up with a link to the group where you can click "Join Group."

If you are ready to be more engaged in your union, contact Crystal Doll, WSNA Nurse Organizer at cdoll@wsna.org, or Michelle Moore, WSNA Nurse Rep, at mmoore@wsna.org.
