Alert: Kronos data breach update

Dear Virginia Mason Nurses,

WSNA has been notified there has been a cyber security breach to the Kronos system at your workplace. We met with Virginia Mason yesterday to discuss the situation further and here is how this might affect you:

First and foremost, we want to reassure you that your personal data such as emails, addresses, and phone numbers were not affected in this breach of security.

This Friday’s paycheck will reflect base pay only while the situation is investigated further. That means that overtime, shift differentials, etc. will not be reflected on this next check. Rest assured that behind the scenes, people are working hard to investigate what has happened and straighten out the books and get you the money that you are owed as soon as possible.

WSNA will continue to monitor the situation and ask the tough questions on your behalf. We will let you know as soon as we can if there are any further developments around this. In the meantime, WSNA strongly encourages you to track your hours and monitor your paychecks closely for any discrepancies and bring those up to your Director or ANM as soon as they are noticed.

In solidarity,

Michelle Moore
your nurse representative
